Why come to Grace?

Grace is a church were you can feel at home. Connect with others just like you. We are a church that strives to be a biblical model of faithfulness to God and relevance to culture and compassion to people. We believe in the Truth of the Triune God, and both the depravity and beauty of humanity, and ultimately, the need for a Savior to reconcile humanity unto God. We believe that Jesus is our Savior. But 'Salvation' is not merely the goal; this beautiful reception of God's grace is a door to a lifestyle of Holy Living. We also believe that the Church is called to walk humbly, love mercy, and seek the lost through God’s Grace. We believe that this is what you will experience when you visit Grace.

Who is Grace for? Who comes out?

Anyone. Come and see. Just come as you are. We won't sell anything or be pushy. We don't want to make you feel uncomfortable but at the same time, we're not a church that caters everything around the "consumer oriented" mentality of our current culture. We believe that a church is a community (Acts 2:42-47) and this means a community of relationship. We sing, we listen, we share communion, we collect offering, and we hang out. Grace is not a church that focuses or targets a particular demographic. It is growing as a diverse community - economically, generationally, and ethnically. We've got engineers, students, parents, kids, programmers, artists, people looking for work, those who've gone to church regularly, those who've come back after many years and those who've never been to church before. Who comes? People just like you.

What can I expect if I visit you?

We believe you will experience the God of love, and the love of our people. We appreciate people that visit us. Our heart is to welcome you in, and honor you for visiting with us. We do not believe in high pressure sales jobs to get you to come back. We hope that through your time with us you will experience the love of God and His people.

Do you have special music?

We provide a variety of music depending on the service style, liturgy and season. Our musical directors provide full, spiritual music on our organ for our traditional services and modern, uplifting music with our Praise Band for our contemporary services. We also have special performances by soloists, adult & youth choirs and instrumentalists.

How long do your services last?

That is a great question. They normally last one hour. That does not include any fellowship that goes on afterwards. We understand people are very busy, but we also understand, and greatly desire to spend time in worship, in the Word, in ministry, and in fellowship.

I'm not Lutheran. Can I attend services here?

Of course! We welcome anyone who seeks to know Christ…. and to make Christ known. We have an exciting member program if you are thinking of joining, but you are welcome to worship with us regardless of your current or past status.

What is the appropriate "dress" for worship services?

Come as you are! There is simply no rule or expectation here. Some feel more comfortable in suits, others in casual attire; it's just not an issue. We are an inclusive church.

Does Grace Lutheran Church offer child care?

Yes, the nursery for newborn and young children is staffed during our 9:30am service on Sunday. The nursery is open but not staffed during other services.

Do you have Sunday School?

Yes, our Sunday School is JAM (Jesus and Me) for children 3 years old through 2nd grade; and Thrive is Grace's Sunday morning children's ministry for 3rd - 5th grade. Both take place during the 9:30 worship service and runs from September through May. Click here for more info.

How large is Grace Lutheran Church?

Our church community currently consists of approximately 2,500 members. But we minister to a much larger number of people than just our church member count.

What "branch" of the Lutheran Church does Grace belong to?

Grace Lutheran is a member of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS), consisting 2.5 million baptized members, and ranks as the second largest Lutheran church body in North America and the 11th largest Christian denomination in the USA.

How can I learn more about Grace Lutheran?

We want to invite you to an opportunity to discover what Grace is all about. In our Grace 101 class we will discover what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ connected here at Grace. Team taught by our ministry staff, the study will cover the basics of what Scripture reveals to us regarding our life, God, and how the two intersect. We will see what it means to live as a disciple of Jesus, putting our faith into action. Additionally, we’ll explore what ministry looks like for God’s people here at Grace. The class is low-key and casual, meant to be a chance for you to connect with others here at Grace.

Grace 101 is an eight week course. We understand if you are unable to make every class session during this time, but we ask that you will commit to being there regularly. Check out the What's Happening page to find out when the next Grace 101 is taking place.

If you have any questions about Grace 101 feel free to call (262-251-0670) or e-mail Pastor Aaron Kuehn

Can I attend the church regularly but not join?

Absolutely! We welcome the opportunity to provide ministry to all who seek to know God's truth.

When do you offer Communion?

Communion is offered at our Traditional service on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays. At our Contemporary services it is offered on the 2nd & 4th Sundays.

Who can participate in Holy Communion?

If you wish to partake of the Lord’s Supper at Grace, please be guided by your response to these questions:

  • Do you believe that you are a sinner and in need of the forgiveness offered by Christ in the Lord’s Supper?
  • Do you believe that Christ’s body and blood are truly present in, with, and under the bread and wine even as Christ promised?
  • Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, as taught at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church and, by your participation in the sacrament, give testimony to the faith we share?
  • Before communing for the first time at Grace, you are asked to please speak with one of the pastors. Children are welcomed at the Lord’s Table to receive a blessing, but should not partake of the Sacrament prior to Confirmation.
